Artist Statement

Emotions affect your perspective, which can cause delusions. I have always been deeply emotional, and as I grew, I began to understand people profoundly. I could instantly pick up how someone was feeling, I knew and understood things I could not explain. The only way I know how to describe it is empathy. I was quickly impacted by people and my surroundings. As a result, it put me in some demanding situations that turned me against myself. For years I struggled with confidence and drowned in my own expectations. It was not until I began creating art of the female form that I found direction and clarity.

I painted what I could not see but could feel, the energy inside of it. Who I am, not just what I reside in. I create sculptures and paintings using various mediums, such as acrylic, oil, metal, clay, plaster, and resin. My art is designed to demonstrate the flow of energy coming from within the body. In every single piece, the colors are chosen to reveal who the individual is, their personality, and their aura. This is what makes each work unique. I do not begin working on a new project until I understand the colors of the person I am portraying in my art. This is accomplished through a series of questions, along with my intuition. My art tells a story of who the person is, and what they feel, love, and hold dearly. I portray the vibrancy I feel coming from their soul and strive to empower women and all people by giving them the opportunity to see themself in a new light. A woman's body is undeniably beautiful, but it is the soul that makes it divine.
